Classes are named style rules that can be applied to one or more elements. In Webflow, classes define how elements look and behave, including typography, spacing, colours and layout. A class makes it possible to reuse the same style instead of setting values manually on every element.
What do classes involve in practice?
In practice, classes should describe the role of an element, not only how it looks in one particular situation. A class called button-primary is easier to understand and develop than one that only describes a random colour. Combo classes can be used for controlled variations, but too many combinations make the style sheet harder to read.
