We shared our thoughts and experience of working as web designers in 2024, with an emphasis on project management and strategy.
Yesterday, we were fortunate to be invited as guest lecturers for Gokstad Akademiet's web design programme. It was a new experience and well outside our comfort zone, but we hope the students came away with useful insights they can take forward 🙌🏼
The day's theme was what it is like to work as a web designer in 2024.
Topics included:
- The importance of networking
- How to find clients
- Project pricing strategy
- Creating value
- The project lifecycle
After the lecture, we set aside time for questions and open discussion. One recurring hot topic was AI tools and how they may affect the industry. The students found this both exciting and a little intimidating, and offered many thoughtful perspectives. It is clear that both they and Gokstad Akademiet are looking ahead.
