A CMS, or Content Management System, is a system for creating, organising and publishing content without editing code. In Webflow, the CMS makes it possible to store content in structured Collections and display it in finished templates. It separates the content itself from how that content is presented.
What does a CMS involve in practice?
An editor can create and update text, images, references and other fields through the CMS interface. The developer first builds a useful content model and a Collection Template. Many pages can then use the same structure while each CMS item receives its own content and URL.
