Dynamic content is content fetched from a CMS or other data source and inserted into a finished layout. In Webflow, text, images, links and lists can be connected to fields in a Collection. The content then changes in the CMS, while the page structure lives in the template.
What does dynamic content involve in practice?
Dynamic content is used to build many pages with the same basic setup. A Collection Template can display the name and main content of one term, while a Collection List can display other terms from the same subcategory. This creates scalability, but requires clear field names and good handling of empty values.
Dynamic content is relevant when content is updated frequently or published in larger quantities. It reduces manual work and creates a more consistent presentation. See CMS, Collection Template and Webflow's guide to dynamic CMS content.
