Forms

Forms are interactive fields where visitors can submit information to a website. A form can be used for contact, sign-up, enquiries, downloads or lead qualification. A good form makes it clear what the user should enter, why the information is collected and what happens after submission.

What do forms involve in practice?

In practice, forms involve more than the fields themselves. Structure, labels, validation, error messages, consent, spam protection and confirmation must work on both mobile and desktop. Submissions can be stored in Webflow or sent to a CRM, email tool or other system through integrations.

Forms are relevant when a website should turn interest into a concrete enquiry. Shorter and clearer forms often create less friction, but the right length depends on what the organisation needs to know. See the Webflow guide to forms, friction and Consent Mode.
