Webflow migration is the process of moving an existing website to Webflow. It may involve a new structure, design, CMS model, URL structure and a plan to preserve visibility and content. A migration is therefore both a technical and editorial project.

What does Webflow migration involve in practice?

In practice, existing URLs, content, metadata, images, forms and integrations are mapped before the new solution is built. Content is then imported or moved, old URLs are connected to new ones with redirects and the entire website is tested before launch. A good migration also considers the editor's new workflow.

Webflow migration is relevant when the current platform limits design, management or further development. It is important to begin with mapping, not with blindly copying pages. See CMS migration, 301 redirects, Redirect mapping and Google's guidance for moving a website.
